1851 is the year FSU recognizes as its founding. Campus Dining Services desired to brand this marquee date in honor of the historical context of this project. The 19,500 SF street-level dining wing is part of the Azalea and Magnolia Halls residence halls. Dining environments within the facility are diverse. Each of the five micro-restaurants with separate kitchens have a unique character and menu which work together to support the overall dining and operational theme. A central public space creates the scale and character of an urban alley (linear food court) with materials and characteristics that reinforce the experience. Features include brand signage, balconies, painted and natural brick, and operable facades to link the restaurants with the outdoor dining environment.
