Goodwill Store

This store is the largest local store and is located near the Goodwill recycling center on West Pensacola Street.

The store is a simple and clean design which is in keeping with the Goodwill aesthetic.

Description:

Goodwill Industries provides a major service to a vast population of value shoppers in North Florida. Their discount retail image is reflected in GRC’s reinterpretation of the ‘box’. The billboard-like façade and iconic graphic, “Goodwill” stands up to the nearby strip architecture as an invitation to shoppers. The curved roofline draws attention to the 15,000 SF building without being a complex structure. This was an inexpensive, value building, just like its namesake.

The open high volume structure provides a no-nonsense monochromatic back drop for sales dis-plays. Simple color accents are provided at the walls and floors for added interest. Day lighting by windows is provided to augment the direct/indirect lighting fixtures for good diffused lighting. Construction is pre-fab metal building system accented with concrete masonry. Rooftop HVAC pack-age units are simply ducted. A standard, locally available canopy structure was enhanced with masonry column surrounds.
