The ArtSpace Community

The purpose of ArtSpace is to make use of a group of unused lots located near Gaines Street and Railroad Avenue into an Arts District.

The community would house the Tallahassee Boys Choir, the Incubator Black Box Theater, the Lofts Apartment, and the Tallahassee Ballet.

 

This Arts District would give the vibrant Tallahassee Arts Community a home and provide a place for local festivals.

 

Description:

GRC provided preliminary design and planning services for Artspace and COCA. The design goal is to create an Arts Community and new urban fabric on an irregularly shaped lot adjacent to the railroad station. The community would feature live-work apartments, a home for the Tallahassee Boys Choir, The Black Box Theater, The Arts Incubator offices, and possibly a home base for the Tallahassee Ballet.
