Traditions Hall

Florida State University

Traditions Hall is an apartment-style residential life building for upper division students at Florida State University. A $25M, 118,000gsf project, the building is 6 stories with 276 beds. Individual apartments include 2 private bedrooms, shower and bath facilities, a living room and full kitchen. Large windows are included for day lighting that helped the building receive LEED Certified status. Traditions abuts the Wildwood Halls north building and shares a common service yard. The E-shaped building organizes a central courtyard leading to the west facing student entrance. A second, more formal street entrance faces east. The brick and extensively detailed cast stone facades are designed to complement the Wildwood Halls architecture.
